Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. I'm going to try to post one good thing here each day, and if you would join in by adding a good thing from your day in the comments, I'd love it--I'd absolutely love it. --RR

OK, now here's where we part. Coffee is meant to be hot. Ditto for soup. Cold coffee, chilled soups -- wrong!
I'll admit that chilled soups usually don't work for me. And for iced coffee, it needs to be at least 90 degrees outside--then it seems perfect. But I won't try to win you over, Barbara....
At least in Germany it`s totally common to see iced coffee in packages at the supermarket. We drink it in the summer and put vanilla ice cream in it. You can also buy iced chocolate or do it your self. It`s also standard for cafés to offericed coffee and iced chocolate :-) My good thing for this weekend: my grandparents had their golden wedding- 50 years of love-that`s a definitely a good thing :-)
